NAMI Pinellas offers Education Meetings once a month open to the community from a variety of speakers. These meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from 6-7:30pm at Empath Health 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. Clearwater, FL, in the Gathering Place, Building 100, Room “D”. Our Education Meetings cover a wide range of topics related to mental health and are a great place to find resources in the community. Besides, they are also a great place to meet other NAMI members, members of the NAMI Pinellas Board, facilitators and teachers. Come get to know us and what we are about!

September Education Meeting

September is National Suicide Awareness Month.  NAMI’s September Education Meeting will be a special presentation called “Ending the Silence”.

NAMI Ending the Silence is an engaging presentation that helps audience members learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions and what steps to take if you or a loved one are showing symptoms of a mental health condition.

NAMI Ending the Silence presentations include two leaders: one who shares an informative presentation and a young adult with a mental health condition who shares their journey of recovery. Audience members can ask questions and gain understanding of an often-misunderstood topic. Through dialogue, we can help grow the movement to end stigma.
