NAMI Smarts for Advocacy 

NAMI Smarts for Advocacy is a popular advocacy training program that helps people living with mental illness, friends and family members transform their passion and lived experience into grassroots advocacy.

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group Facilitator Training

Participants will be trained to lead the NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group.  Requirements:  You must be an individual with a mental health condition and is in recovery.

NAMI Family-to-Family Teacher Training

More teachers are needed so that this course can be offered on a more frequent basis and in more locations throughout the county. The curriculum is evidence-based and provides valuable tools to help families cope. NAMI Pinellas provides everything you need so that you feel confident and comfortable in co-teaching this national curriculum. It is recommended that you’ve already taken the Family-to-Family course yourself before taking the Teacher Training, but not required. The training is a lot of fun!  Requirements:  Family members or caregivers who have a adult (18+) loved one who has a mental illness.
